Scott Rogers | The Art of Bronze

The art of bronze

“My sculpture is a prayer, and that’s how I hold it.”

- Scott Rogers

The Art of Bronze is an intimate short documentary portrait of sculptor Scott Rogers, exploring the life experiences, faith, and human connections behind his work. Beyond the bronze, Scott sees an opportunity to create something people can feel, a connection that invites reflection and, perhaps, healing.

From the childhood wonder of discovering his uncle Grant Speed’s sculptures to the pressures of finding his own voice as an artist, Scott reflects on a journey shaped by curiosity, struggle, and the freedom of realizing that mastery has no finish line. His approach draws on a life fully lived, with love, loss, and moments of profound connection finding their way into his sculptures.

Moving beyond technique and finished pieces, the film reveals the person behind the work. It is a story of remaining open, finding meaning in the creative process, and approaching art not simply as a craft, but as an expression of how to live.
